CAMEX Airlines Expanding its Fleet with the Support of Gazelle Finance
Another Boeing (Boeing 737-800 CF), the second aircraft in the companies cargo fleet, has been delivered to “Camex Airlines” in Tbilisi, ready to start commercial flights in the shortest period to come.
“The expansion of the fleet is the outcome of each employee’s effective performance, business connections with foreign partners and close cooperation with relevant administrative agencies. Gazelle Finance, Savvy Сonsulting and TBC Bank have also made considerable contribution to the development and successful operation of our company; it is due to their professionalism and the declared trust that the air cargo carrier, launched as a startup project, is already operating with two aircrafts and is positioning itself into the international air transportation market with ambitious plans”, says Giorgi Seturidze, head of the “Camex Airlines” investment project.
According to the Principal Investment Officer of Gazelle Finance, Mikheil Tamasidze, the acquisition of additional aircraft is an important achievement for “Camex Airlines” and its team, which have managed to earn the trust of aircraft suppliers and close the deal successfully. As he says, the new Boeing 737-800 CF will enable the company to significantly increase the number of orders for additional destinations, which will positively affect the country’s image in the international transport market.
The company received its first aircraft, a Boeing 737-800 BCF, in July 2022 and began commercial flights from August after successfully passing all the necessary procedures.
The company-hosted presentation event, which took place on 1 August 2022, was attended by US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, CEO of Gazelle Finance Jeffrey Liebert and representatives of the business sector and media. As the plenipotentiary ambassador of the USA to Georgia noted, with the world searching for alternative supply routes and networks, investing in such Georgian companies as “Camex Airlines” assumes particular importance. While speaking to the media, Kelly Degnan brought the history of investments in “Camex Airlines” and the scale of the company’s development to the fore. According to the US ambassador, this project is a vivid example of close cooperation between Georgia and the US in the economic direction.
Alongside cooperation with the American counterparties, “Camex Airlines” has established a subsidiary in one of the EU member states and continues to operate successfully. The Boeing 737-800 BCF, based in Europe, is the third cargo aircraft for Camex group, which significantly increases the flight area and the scope of customer service.
